A Message from Rev. Jim
A Time to Start Living Prosperously...
Dearest Friends…
What better time is there than Spring to start embracing prosperity
in your life? Nature is already demonstrating prosperity. Life is
expressing it, the soil is supporting it, the sun and rain are
nurturing it. All we need to do is look around us to see how
prosperous life can become.
This month is the time to start living prosperously, to be as God
and nature meant us to be. I hope you plan to join us as we open to
a new life of prosperity together. As Catherine Ponder writes in her
book, together let us “dare to prosper!”
Blessings in all ways, love, peace, and prosperity!!!

Prosperity in Your Life...
Dear Friends:
This year in May we are exploring the always important subject of
prosperity. As usual, your state of mind on the subject—and the
church’s—will be considered and boosted with thoughts and
affirmations about the prosperity that is naturally ours as God’s
image. Yes, it’s natural, but we must claim it.
After many years of looking at this, I’ve developed a new slant
on prosperity in my life. Byron Katie’s book on life called A
Thousand Names for Joy was helpful. To me, if I can feel real
joy, moment to moment, I am living with true abundance. It is hard
to feel deprived living like that, no matter what is going on. If
you can look at this moment, right now, is there anything not to be
joyful about, especially if you are expecting it? For example, today
is dark and dreary, and I’m not feeling too great. But if I look out
the window, I can watch the pond at City Park with its beautiful
fountain, sending up high sprays of water. Yes, joyful.
Usually we don’t have to look for joy, but if we should have to,
it is never far away. It’s amazing how, when we get older with more
disabilities, the joy can increase! There seem to be fewer big
stories I have to run in my head and more room, therefore, for this
moment.
And, yes—you guessed it—for joy!
Blessings,
Rev.
Barbara,
Assistant Minister I

A Message from Rev.
Mary Jo
MAY you be blessed this month?
Dear Friends:
Webster’s Dictionary tells us that the word “may” means “to be
free” or “to have permission.” Many prayers from the Buddhist
tradition that I have read, heard and said begin with the word
“may”: May all beings be free from suffering. May you be filled with
loving kindness. May you be well. May you be peaceful and at ease.
May you be happy.
The beloved Source of all life, forever being experienced—often
named God—is always asking us, “May I?” Just because there’s a
“bend” in the hose that prevents water from exiting doesn’t mean
that the water is not flowing. When you gaze at the glory of the
blooming daffodil, the budding lilac or the greening grass, you are
witnessing your own nature; perfect, beautiful and on purpose in
every moment.
I remember my grammar teacher mother correcting us as children
when we would ask, “Can I go to Lisa’s house?” Mom would say, “Can
you? Of course you can. But MAY you? Yes, you MAY.” Our
spirituality, the yearning to be happy, to find fulfillment and
experience joy is always saying “YES, you MAY.” Like the flow of
water from the faucet, joy and fulfillment, love and deep peace are
what naturally flows in our being if we could just be free of our
own limiting thoughts about ourselves.
Our fears, our angst, and our hurts are the bends in the hose.
May you be free to feel the naturalness of who you are. May you know
that there is a Power and a Presence within you greater than any
fear, angst or hurt. May you be free from suffering and may you be
at peace.
All my love,
Rev. Mary Jo

“Great News for Fans of “Music Beyond Words.” For many years,
Denver Church of Religious Science has sponsored “Music Beyond
Words,” a unique Sunday morning music program which was originally
broadcast on 97.5 FM and then moved to Smooth Jazz 104.3 FM a few
years ago.
Music Beyond Words” gained a huge following
because of its unique blend of calming new age and contemporary
music expertly presented by the show’s creator and producer, Marie
Michaels. An ongoing special element of the show was its hourly “Thought
for the Day” created and presented by our own Rev. Jim Chandler.
Good news!
Using the internet and today's technology you can listen to
“Music Beyond Words” any time of the day or night, any day of the
week, from any location around the globe.
Think of it! You
can now have the perfect music for meditation, calming the
atmosphere at work, setting the mood at dinner, entertaining for
special occasions; instantly available any time you are called by
Spirit.
To access and get more information about this new
