Rev. Jim Chandler Appointed Area Ecclesiastical Representative for United Church of Religious Science Our Senior Minister at The Denver Church of Religious Science, Reverend Jim Chandler, has accepted a three-year appointment as an Ecclesiastical Representative for United Church of Religious Science. The appointment, made by our Community Spiritual Leader, Dr. Kathy Hearn, is one of our highest honors representing United Church of Religious Science as they engage in relationships, guidance, and communication with the people and covenanted communities that comprise UCRS around the world. Under our Community Spiritual Leader, there are ten Ecclesiastical Representatives, each with their own specific geological responsibilities. Rev. Jim will be working with the twenty-one covenanted communities, comprised of churches, study groups, teaching centers, and portfolio ministries throughout Colorado, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. The ten Ecclesiastical Representatives work closely with our Community Spiritual Leader as a team to maintain continuity, and to address ecclesiastical decisions and policies which may affect individual covenanted communities, ministers, licensed practitioners, and individual issues, as well as the continuity of global presence and the “Global Heart Vision.” The appointment as an Ecclesiastical Representative for UCRS is a recognition of Reverend Jim’s leadership skills and spiritual consciousness, as well as the high standards of excellence that we embody here at The Denver Church of Religious Science. Our many community outreach programs, excellent special programs created for our congregation, award-winning music department, powerful consciousness of our Practitioner Team, sound business decisions made by our Board of Trustees, dedicated Volunteers, and the level of commitment made by each of our church members is recognized by United Church of Religious Science through Rev. Jim’s appointment. Reverend Jim will continue as our spiritual leader; this is his passion. However, with the added responsibilities as the Ecclesiastical Representative for this part of the country, he will maintain a greater level of communication with other churches, where he may share his vast knowledge, deep spiritual beliefs, and limitless abundance of creative, inspiring, and visionary ideas to assist other churches, ministers, practitioners, and members in reaching their own potential. As our individual communities grow, United Church of Religious Science will find new recognition. Our presence, our healing message, and the “Global Heart Vision” will become a reality. This congregation is very blessed to be led by Reverend Jim; he is the embodiment of the Science of Mind principles.
