Summer of Peace
Planting Seeds for the Seasons for Peace and
Nonviolence
Upon my return from the Peace Train event in April, an invitation to connect with the Metro Denver’s campaign for the Summer of Peace fell at my feet. I‘ve been attending meetings and events that support the Summer of Peace, an awareness and program-filled campaign to address youth violence in the summer when temperatures and tempers rise. Many of you at The Denver Church have supported this campaign by purchasing Summer of Peace signs for your yards or windows. A community visioning is also being planned, along with a peace event. The expanded campaign, Seasons for Peace and Nonviolence (SPAN) is offered by the Association for Global New Thought www.agnt.org.
