Our Licensed Practitioner's are always available after Sunday services for a short treatment session, or leave your prayer request at our Ministry of Prayer table on the landing outside the sanctuary.

Or if you desire a longer session in private surroundings they are available for a fee based session by appointment, feel free to call and arrange a time / place for their services.

How do I become a Member
  of the Board of Trustees?

By Tim Hancock, R.Sc.P.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
Third Tuesday of Every Month
First Floor Conference Room,
Emerson Building, 6:30 p.m.
Next Meeting:
 July15th

Here at our spiritual center we feel a sense of pride, not only with our giving, but with our gifts. These gifts are as diverse as our community. We give not only with tithing, but with our time, talents, compassion, joy and love.

You will always see someone on a Sunday morning before service, picking up trash on the outside; preparing the Fellowship Room for after service; practicing music, tuning up the sound board; and greeting and handing out the Sunday programs. And it’s not at all uncommon to see someone during the week cleaning the building, planting and maintaining the front yard, working on presentations for workshops and classes or the newsletter.

This gift of service is totally in line with the Science of Mind teachings. The more we give with our dollars, time and talents, the more we attract to ourselves. Our physical and mental health also benefit. We build up and trim our bodies with the physical and fill ourselves with a sense of peace with the mental, knowing that both will not only make our center a place of welcome, but a place of love that comes from within.

One of the ways you can give is by becoming a member of our Board of Trustees. This allows you to hone your skills in communications and decision making. Most of all, you bring beautiful talents and energy to the service of our sacred space.

“How do I become a member of the Board of Trustees?” you ask. If you are a member of the church and have completed the Foundations class, you can be of service as a Trustee. We have eight members. Each year, two or three members rotate out in order to keep a continuity on the Board. This year, two members are moving on, which leaves two new openings. The term is for three years, which allows one year to learn and serve and two more years to serve and teach.

At this year’s annual meeting on July 20th, the elections will be held for new members of the Board. If you enjoy our wonderful spiritual center and would like to be of service on the Board, please contact either Tim Hancock, President of the Board of Trustees or Senior Minister Rev. Jim Chandler. Shaping and guiding our movement to a new level is truly a rewarding experience and I certainly look forward to seeing two new faces on our dedicated and loving Board of Trustees.
