Winds of Change The spiritual teachings that are the foundation of the Denver Church are rooted in having complete freedom to discover, grow, evolve and choose the nature of our spiritual work. In many of our churches and centers, this often out pictures itself as significant contributors moving on. This was a realization facing the Board of Trustees recently when Jim McComb tendered his resignation. Jim has a new job that requires a lot of travel and his wife, Karn, is heading back to work after some very successful surgery. So, effective April 24th, Jim resigned from the Board and the Music Department. We offer him our eternal gratitude for the many, many blessings he and Karn so generously gave the Denver Church over the past several years. As the Board Treasurer, Jim put in many long hours to improve our accounting system and hired our wonderful bookkeeper, Shireen Heward. Jim graced Sunday services with his beautiful guitar and voice, while Karn ran the sound board. Jim helped plan and build the playground and the Sanctuary. He updated our sound system and his computer to make the Eckhart Tolle class our most successful ever. Jim shopped for our new ceiling fans, found the electrician and supervised the installation. His “can-do” attitude and almost limitless generosity and productive energy were a gale wind force in our midst!
Thank you, Jim and Karn. |
