Annual Denver Church Yard Sale

Friday, May 16th and Saturday May 17th

Yes, friends, it’s that time again. Time to clean out your garages, attics, and basements. Time to get rid of the old and no longer needed items to make room for the new. We will be accepting good, usable donations in the church fellowship room beginning Sunday, April 6th.

Remember the Denver Church Annual Yard Sale as you’re cleaning out your garages, attics and basements this spring. Then join us in the fun as we sell your gently used and vintage treasures that have been released for recirculation.

There’s great value in “clutter clearing”. In India, women sweep the front entrances to their homes every day as a way of welcoming the goddess of material and spiritual abundance into their homes. They believe she lives at the threshold of every house and that she must have a clear path in order to enter. Financial guru Suze Orman says, “We need to clean up our act, quite literally, to bring true wealth into our lives. This is not just about money, but it’s about wealth in every area of our lives.”

According to Orman, “When we clean out our physical home, it opens up a space within our being to receive more of what we really need. We can become enslaved by our possessions. Our lives become centered around caring for our things. They take time, energy and our attention. They cannot love us back. Sometimes we allow our things to define who we are.”

So start making space for more abundance. We’ll be storing your treasures on the 3rd floor of the Emerson Building. Please bring in your “stuff” before or after Sunday services, or during weekly office hours. And as always, we thank you all for your continued support and assistance.

Please ONLY give items that someone else might need: no broken appliances, magazines, computer parts, torn or dirty clothing, or things that don’t sell at yard sales – PLEASE!! These things just cause unnecessary work for our wonderful volunteers.

Blessings,
The Yard Sale Committee

, including Rev. Mary Jo and Steve Smith
